Marisa Meier was born in Madison, Wisconsin. Marisa’s father, Don Hunt, is a nationally acclaimed ceramics artist and teacher that pioneered the first of its kind “fine arts week” for high school students in Wisconsin.
In 1991, Marisa returned to Wisconsin to complete her undergraduate degree
where she earned a minor in Art and a major in Social Work. Marisa has a
passion
for
art, but also for helping people.
Marisa loves to paint pictures with colors that inspire, themes that lift the spirit and compositions that invite the viewer to share, even if for only a moment, the sublime joy of beautifully rendered images. She paints from her home in Florida where she also exhibits in approximately 20 art shows a year.
“I believe that art should inspire, comfort and delight its viewers. I
try to create themes that lift the spirit using colors and images that are
pleasant or intriguing. I believe that God's creation is one
of the best sources of inspiration and I try to capture that beauty.”
