Fletcher Benton (b. 1931 Jackson, Ohio) is a sculptor of international acclaim and is recipient
of the 2008 International Sculpture Center Lifetime Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture. His
work is represented in galleries, museums, and collections throughout the
world (http://fletcherbenton.com).
In "Fletcher Benton: The Purpose of Harmony," author and art critic Carter Ratcliff observes,
"Face to face with his works, we focus on the interplay of line and curve, plane and angle, not
on concepts, however exalted. Yet his art is imbued with the ideas of difference and harmony,
multiplicity and individuality, and they insinuate themselves into our looking."
