Peregrine Smith
"String Theory"

My painting examines "our" relationships with the outerscape (landscapes), innerscape (thoughtscapes), and each other (e-scapes).

Since I have very little knowledge of 'the violin' except listening,  "String Theory" centers on one of most famous people of science and his love of the violin. Like most people Einstein is one of my heroes, and is often quoted as saying:- "A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit, and a violin, what else does a man need?"  To this statement I added the more recent concept of String Theory, thus, this thoughtscape comes to you, again.

This picture has reappeared, due to the bending of space, well, really the lack of it.
