"Most of my paintings are of subjects inspired by nature. They include flowers, leaves. Trees, landscapes, water, and rock formations.   The designs., especially linear designs, which occur in nature, offer an endless variety of expression.   The value and intensity of nature's colors create an enormous palette to choose from.

I am fascinated by the movement of water.   The designs and patterns created by ripples, reflections, waves, and the effect of sunlight on water constantly inspire me.   Growing up on Lake Michigan allowed me many happy hours of observing water which continues today from my home on Lake Monona.

The violin is decorated with lilies, chrysanthemums, dahlias, and tulips.   The flowers were photographed at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, in Bellevue, Washington; Olbrich Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin; and my neighbors' gardens in Waunona Way."
